Vulnerability Manager

With the Update Manager, you have a powerful tool at your fingertips that makes managing updates and update jobs much easier. You benefit from a central overview that allows you to plan updates efficiently, keep an eye on the progress of ongoing processes and implement long-term update strategies. This saves you time, increases the security of your systems and ensures that your IT infrastructure is always up to date.

Vulnerabilities

Here you will find an overview of all security vulnerabilities (Host CVEs). This allows you to quickly identify and eliminate potential risks. Here you also have the option of exporting entire lists or filtered entries from the platform, defining or suppressing exception handling for CVEs.

Update Manager

Under Updates, you will find a list of pending updates on all your hosts. In addition to severity levels, you can also see how many hosts are affected by each update and how high the current risk rating is for them.

To install updates, select one or more entries from the list and then click on Install updates. The following layout will then open:

Now select whether you want to install the update on all affected hosts or select the manual host selection and determine yourself for which hosts you want to install the updates.

Windows

On Windows systems, the Update Manager can be used to install Windows-specific cumulative updates. If Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) is available, this is used. Updates for third-party software cannot yet be installed with the Update Manager on Windows systems.

Linux

It is generally possible to install all patches on Linux systems, including third-party software.

MacOS

All updates that are managed via the macOS package manager Homebrew are supported.

Update History

The Jobs view gives you a comprehensive overview of all running and completed update processes. You can see at a glance which jobs have been successfully completed and which are still pending. This transparency helps you to meet compliance requirements as you can ensure that all relevant systems are updated regularly and correctly.

If you select an update for software that is not available on the respective host, it will not appear in the Jobs view.
