# Overview

The host overview provides a detailed overview of all monitored servers and clients.

<i class="fa-compass">:compass:</i> Navigate to **Hosts** → **Overview** to show a list of all configured hosts. If you have not created any hosts yet, this view is empty.

The [host overview](#host-ubersicht) provides information such as:

* which servers and clients are monitored.
* the calculated risk scores for Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE), and updates.
* who is the responsible contact person for a host.

You can also [add new hosts](#create-a-host) by [installing Pulsar](/docs/manual/english/installation-and-configuration/installation-and-configuration/enginsight-components/pulsar.md) on the respective servers or clients.

## Navigation

<i class="fa-magnifying-glass">:magnifying-glass:</i> Click the **Text Search** field above the list and enter a search term of your choice to find specific list items more quickly.

### Filtering the List

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click the **Filter** icon <i class="fa-filter">:filter:</i> above the list to filter the list by predefined parameters.

The default filter is **Active = True**. This means that only active hosts are shown in the host overview. Click the **Remove** icon <i class="fa-xmark">:xmark:</i> next to the active filter to remove it and show all available hosts.

### Sorting List Items

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click the **Sort** icon <i class="fa-sort">:sort:</i> next to a column name in the table header to sort by that column in ascending <i class="fa-angle-up">:angle-up:</i> or descending order <i class="fa-chevron-down">:chevron-down:</i> .

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click the sort icon <i class="fa-bars-sort">:bars-sort:</i> above the list to adjust the priority of the applied sorting. A menu opens that shows all columns by which the list is currently sorted. Drag and drop the shown items to change the sorting priority.

### Deleting List Items

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Select the checkbox <i class="fa-square">:square:</i> next to a list item to select the corresponding item. Alternatively, select the checkbox in the table header to select all list items.

The number of selected list entries is now displayed next to the search field.

The **Delete** button <i class="fa-trash">:trash:</i> also appears in the upper-right corner. Click it, then confirm the message that appears by clicking **Delete**.

The host overview is structured as a table.

## Creating a Host

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click <i class="fa-plus">:plus:</i> **Create Host** in the upper-right corner to create a new host. This is done by installing Pulsar on the selected server or client.

## Updating Agents

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click <i class="fa-clock-rotate-left">:clock-rotate-left:</i> **Update Agents** in the upper-right corner to deploy updates to installed Pulsars.The **Update Agents** window opens.

The following options are available:
