# Dashboard

The host dashboard provides a visual overview of various monitoring metrics and security analyses for your selected host.

You can also view the [policies](/docs/manual/english/platform-usage/hosts/management/policy-manager.md) applied to the host, the [Shield rules](/docs/manual/english/platform-usage/shield.md) that are effective on the host, and the Environmental Score metrics that are used to calculate the [Environmental Score](/docs/manual/english/platform-usage/hosts/vulnerability-management/environmental-score-manager.md) for the host.

## Dashboard: Tabs

The host dashboard is divided into four views, which you can access via tabs:

You can also [update the Pulsar](#update-agent) installed on the host, [restart the host](#restart-host), [download the host logs](#retrieve-logs), and [download a complete host report](#create-export).

## Host Actions

The following host actions are available in the upper-right corner of the dashboard:

### Updating the Agent

This option is grayed out if the Pulsar installed on the host is up to date.

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click <i class="fa-clock-rotate-left">:clock-rotate-left:</i> **Update Agent** to download and install the latest version of Pulsar.

### Restarting the Host

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click <i class="fa-power-off">:power-off:</i> **Restart** and confirm the message that appears to restart the host from within the Enginsight platform.

### Getting Logs

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click <i class="fa-arrows-rotate-reverse">:arrows-rotate-reverse:</i> **Get Logs** to download the host logs. The export is provided in TXT format as a .gzip file.

### Creating an Export

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click <i class="fa-down-to-dotted-line">:down-to-dotted-line:</i> **Create Export** to download a complete report on the analysis of your host. A new window opens.

The following options are available:

<table><thead><tr><th width="199.5">Option</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Name</td><td>Enter a meaningful name for the host report.</td></tr><tr><td>Format</td><td><p>Define whether you want to download the report in DOCX format (for Microsoft Word and equivalent office applications) or in PDF format.</p><div data-gb-custom-block data-tag="hint" data-style="info" class="hint hint-info"><p>The default format is <strong>DOCX</strong>.</p></div><p><i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click in the <strong>Format</strong> field to expand a list of available options and select a format.</p></td></tr></tbody></table>

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click **Create Export** to automatically create and download the host report in the selected format.
