# Policies

Under **Policies**, you will find a list of managed and custom security policies that can be used to review and improve your system configuration.

The security policies provided and maintained by Enginsight are based on the configuration standards developed by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), known as Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

STIGs are available for the following operating systems:

* Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019
* Microsoft Windows 10
* Chanonical Ubuntu 16, 18, 20
* Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, 7
* SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12

:compass: Navigate to **Dashboard** → **Configurations** → **Policies** to display a list of all available policies.

From the [Policies Overview](#policies-overview), you can see, among other things:

* Which managed and custom policies are available for review.
* Whether a policy supports automatic remediation.
* Which operating system the policy applies to.

You can also copy existing policies and [create new policies](/docs/manual/english/internal/configurations/policies/add-policy.md).
