# User Account

In your user account, you can store personal information and configure user-specific settings.

<i class="fa-compass">:compass:</i> Navigate to **Settings** → **User Account** to view your user profile settings and adjust user-specific configurations.

Within the [User Account settings](/docs/manual/english/administration/settings/user-account.md), you can:

* Store and update personal information for your user profile.
* Change your password.
* Enable two-factor authentication for login.
* Enable beta features.

## Navigation

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click **Expand** to display all available settings for the corresponding section. Alternatively, click **Collapse** to collapse an expanded section.

<i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click **Save Changes** to apply changes to the settings.

## Available Settings

This is where you configure the settings for your user account.

Settings configured under **User Account** apply to all organizations of which you are a member.

### Your Personal Information

Here you can enter user-specific information.

The following options are available:

Your username in the Enginsight platform consists of your first and last name.</td></tr><tr><td>Name</td><td>Enter your last name. Your username in the Enginsight platform consists of your first and last name.</td></tr><tr><td>Email</td><td>Enter your email address. The configured email address is used for notifications, for example in the event of an alert or for two-factor authentication.</td></tr><tr><td>Mobile number</td><td><p>Enter your mobile number. The configured mobile number is used for notifications, for example in the event of an alert (if enabled) or for two-factor authentication.</p><div data-gb-custom-block data-tag="hint" data-style="info" class="hint hint-info"><p>This field is optional.</p></div></td></tr><tr><td>Time zone</td><td><p>Specify the time zone that should be used for all timestamps displayed throughout the Enginsight platform and in reports.</p><div data-gb-custom-block data-tag="hint" data-style="info" class="hint hint-info"><p>This field is optional. However, we strongly recommend configuring a time zone to ensure, for example, that reports contain the correct timestamps.</p></div><p><i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click the <strong>Time Zone</strong> field to display a list of all available time zones and select one. Alternatively, use the free-text search field to find time zones more quickly. </p></td></tr><tr><td>Language</td><td><p>Specify the language of the Enginsight user interface.</p><div data-gb-custom-block data-tag="hint" data-style="info" class="hint hint-info"><p>The default language is <strong>German</strong>.</p></div><p><i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click the <strong>Language</strong> field to display a list of all available languages and select one.<br> </p><p>The following languages are available:</p><ul><li><strong>German</strong></li><li><strong>English</strong></li></ul></td></tr></tbody></table>

### Password

Here you can define a new password for your user account.

The following options are available:

You can check the quality of the password you entered under **Password Strength**, displayed to the right of the input fields.

**Please note:** The password strength must be at least **Good** before the password can be saved.

### Advanced Settings

Here you can configure advanced settings for your user account.

The following options are available:

<table><thead><tr><th width="253.88671875">Option</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Two-Factor Authentication on Login</td><td><p>Enable the use of a second authentication factor when signing in to the Enginsight platform.</p><p><br><i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click the toggle <i class="fa-slider">:slider:</i> next to <strong>Two-Factor Authentication on Login</strong> to enable or disable the feature.</p><div data-gb-custom-block data-tag="hint" data-style="danger" class="hint hint-danger"><p><strong>Please note:</strong> To use two-factor authentication, you must <a href="/docs/manual/english/installation-and-configuration/installation-and-configuration/additional-configurations/two-factor-authentication.md">first configure it</a>.</p></div></td></tr><tr><td>Email Notification for new login</td><td><p>Enable email notifications whenever Enginsight detects a login to your user account from a new browser.</p><p><br><i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click the toggle <i class="fa-slider">:slider:</i> next to <strong>Email Notification for new login</strong> to enable or disable the feature.</p><div data-gb-custom-block data-tag="hint" data-style="info" class="hint hint-info"><p>Notifications are sent to the email address configured in your user account.</p></div></td></tr><tr><td>Activate beta functionalities</td><td><p>Enable the display of new Enginsight platform features that are still in the testing phase.</p><div data-gb-custom-block data-tag="hint" data-style="info" class="hint hint-info"><p>These features are marked with the <strong>BETA</strong> label in the user interface.</p></div><p><i class="fa-computer-mouse">:computer-mouse:</i> Click the toggle <i class="fa-slider">:slider:</i> next to <strong>Activate beta functionalities</strong> to enable or disable the feature.</p></td></tr></tbody></table>

### Avatar

Here you can select an avatar image for your user account.
