# Organization Management

Enginsight is multi-tenant capable and Enginsight instances are managed using so-called organizations. There are main organizations and suborganizations.

***

## Main Organization and suborganizations

Every on-premises installation of Enginsight is linked to a main organization and requires a dedicated on-premises license.

Any number of suborganizations can be added to a main organization. Each suborganization has its own dedicated Enginsight user interface.

**Please note**: It is not possible to create a suborganization beneath another suborganization.

## Managing Suborganizations

Each main organization can centrally manage its suborganizations and access their data:

* With a single login, users can [navigate from the main organization to any linked suborganization](#zwischen-organisationen-wechseln).
* The [Asset Operation Center](/docs/manual/english/platform-usage/dashboard/operation-centers/asset-operation-center.md) and [Partner Operation Center](/docs/manual/english/platform-usage/dashboard/operation-centers/partner-operation-center.md) of a main organization provide various data from both the main organization and all linked suborganizations.
* In the [Contingent Management overview](/docs/manual/english/administration/settings/contingent-management.md), a main organization can manually assign license contingents to linked suborganizations. If no contingents are assigned manually, the suborganization can consume contingents from the main organization's overall contingent.
* In the [Usage overview](/docs/manual/english/administration/settings/usage-overview.md), a main organization can view the actual license contingent usage of all suborganizations.
* In the [Roles](/docs/manual/english/administration/settings/roles.md) settings, different permissions can be assigned to [team members](/docs/manual/english/administration/settings/team-members.md) for main and suborganizations.
