# The Enginsight Observer log shows the entry ERR\_INTERNAL\_ADDR\_DENIED. What can I do?

If you want to monitor an internal website with the Enginsight Observer component but do not receive any results, and the Observer log contains the entry ERR\_INTERNAL\_ADDR\_DENIED, this may be because the Observer setting **Allow internal targets** has not been enabled.

{% hint style="success" icon="lightbulb" %}
For more information on how to retrieve Observer logs, see the Knowledge Base: [How can I retrieve the logs of the Enginsight Observer component?](/docs/knowledge-base/english/logging/how-can-i-retrieve-the-logs-of-the-enginsight-component-observer.md)
{% endhint %}

To resolve the issue, navigate to **Endpoints** → **Required Services** → **Observers** in the Enginsight platform and click the affected Observer to open its edit view.

In the **Advanced Settings** section, select the checkbox :square: next to **Allow internal targets** to allow the Observer to access internal IP addresses.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Please note**: If you enable the **Allow internal targets** option, the **Operate as a dedicated Observer** option *must also be enabled*! Otherwise, all organizations and suborganizations will be able to access internal IP addresses of the organization you are currently logged in to.
